Functional Description
The device is equipped with functions such as single measurement and continuous measurement.
3.1 External Circuit Enable
Enable the module to work normally.
3.2 External Circuit Disable
Disable the external circuit to reduce power consumption.
3.3 Single Measurement
Trigger a single distance measurement of the target. For low-reflectivity targets, the module will automatically repeat measurements until stable distance data is acquired, and then upload the data through the serial port in standard format.
3.4 Continuous Measurement
Under continuous measurement mode, the laser module will perform continuous distance measurement on the target. The typical refresh rate is 2Hz, and the maximum refresh rate can reach 20Hz.
3.5 Angle Measurement
The angle measurement function can be customized upon request. It supports measuring target pitch angle, roll angle and yaw angle. The measurable angle range of X and Z axis: -180° ~ +180°The measurable angle range of Y axis: -90° ~ +90°

Product Description
Core Features & Key Advantages (Keyword-Integrated Naturally)
-
Gyro-Enhanced Spatial Positioning (Core Difference from Other Modules): What sets the SPD1200S2G apart from ordinary laser ranging modules is its integrated high-precision gyroscope, which enables accurate spatial attitude measurement (roll, pitch, yaw) and precise calibration of spatial point distance errors. This unique feature allows it to achieve reliable dynamic and static distance measurement between spatial points, solving the positioning inaccuracy problem that plagues standard modules in complex scenarios.
-
Upgraded Full Range & Higher Precision: Compared to other modules, the SPD1200S2G supports an ultra-short starting distance of 0.1m and an extended maximum range, with upgraded multi-level precision—delivering more accurate measurement results across all distance segments. Equipped with an aspherical lens for stable light transmission and a safe laser classification, it ensures long-term, worry-free operation while maintaining superior measurement stability.
-
Compact Square Design & Enhanced Durability: With a more compact square structure and lightweight design, it is even easier to integrate into small devices and tight spaces compared to other modules. Featuring IP67 lens cavity protection, strong shock and vibration resistance, it maintains excellent durability in harsh industrial and outdoor conditions, reducing maintenance costs and extending service life—outperforming standard modules in adaptability.
-
Flexible Performance & Wider Compatibility: Unlike ordinary modules, the SPD1200S2G features a wider adaptive ranging frequency and optional baud rate, supporting more flexible integration. With efficient power consumption and quick startup, it adapts to diverse dynamic and static application needs, while its customizable communication interface ensures seamless integration with controllers, robots, and intelligent systems—offering greater flexibility than standard ranging modules.
-
Superior Dynamic & Static Reliability: Thanks to its integrated gyroscope, the SPD1200S2G achieves high-precision distance measurement between spatial points in both static and dynamic scenarios—an advantage that ordinary modules lack. Built to operate in a wide temperature range, with high reliability and long service life, it minimizes downtime and improves work efficiency, making it more suitable for high-demand dynamic applications.
