Safety and care FAQ
How should the housing and optics be cared for?
Use a clean, soft, dry cloth on non-optical surfaces. The supplied manual prohibits organic solvents, alkaline cleaners and abrasive fabrics, and says to avoid touching optics with fingers.
pp. 19–20 · Routine maintenanceWhat light, heat and moisture hazards should be avoided?
The supplied manual says not to direct the unit at the sun, lasers, welding equipment or intense heat sources, whether powered on or off. Avoid dust, rain and condensation and remain within documented temperature limits.
p. 19What if the unit becomes abnormally hot, odorous or damaged?
Stop using it and seek qualified service assessment. The supplied manual prohibits disassembly, modification, non-original parts and interior cleaning by the user.
pp. 19–20What storage conditions does the manual specify?
Dry, ventilated storage free of corrosive gases, at 0 °C to +55 °C and no more than 80% RH. Use the protective case and protect the unit from impact, sunlight and corrosive substances.
p. 20 · StorageWhat does source-checked mean on this page?
The statements have been checked against the identified supplied document or explicit model-identity confirmation. This is not independent hardware testing or certification; unresolved information is listed separately.
Source noteIs the device presented as solar-viewing equipment?
No. Do not use it to observe the Sun. NASA warns of serious eye hazards when solar viewing through optics lacks purpose-designed protection.
Source noteDoes citing an IP standard certify this model?
No. IEC 60529 defines enclosure-protection classifications. A reference to the standard does not establish that a particular model has been tested or certified.
