The projectiles matched with the Type 82 mortar of the PP87 include anti-personnel fragmentation grenades, incendiary anti-personnel grenades, steel ball fragmentation grenades, steel ball explosive and incendiary grenades, smoke grenades, illuminating grenades, etc. The anti-personnel fragmentation grenade weighs 4.2 kilograms, with a maximum range of 4,600 meters. When using long-range charges, the maximum range is 5,700 meters, and the intensive anti-personnel radius is 22 meters. It is equipped with a mechanical impact fuze.
The performance of the incendiary anti-personnel grenade and the smoke grenade is basically the same as that of the anti-personnel fragmentation grenade. The difference is that the internal charge of the incendiary anti-personnel grenade contains an incendiary agent, and the incendiary radius is greater than 14 meters. The internal charge of the smoke grenade is a yellow phosphorus smoke agent.
